UNEMPLOYMENT PROBLEM.
Auckland, Last Night
A meeting of unemployed in the Civic Square adjourned to the Town Hall Concert Chamber and St. Matthew’s Hall, where resolutions were passed urging on the Government the need to find immediate work for 5,000 unemployed in Auckland, setting out that in view of’ the coming winter the position was the gravest in the history of the country.
A further resolution demanded work al Union rates of pay, and that the Premier and Minister of Labour he asked to support efforts to find work for all unemployed.
