BLAZE AT RONGOTEA.
Two buildings, one the property of AH W. Darragh, of Rotorua, and occupied by Airs Charles Donovan, and the other owned by AH F. Tees and occupied -by Mr H. Duker, were totally destroyed about midnight on Tuesday by fire. Air Donovan lost all his furniture and belongings, and very little was saved out of AH Duker’s house. A large band of fire-fighters prevented neighbouring buildings from being also, destroyed. A building owned by Air C. P. Wood across the street caught fire on several occasions, but the efforts of willing helpers extinguished the blaze, and saved this property.
