MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.
Elsewhere in this issue the Town Clerk advertises that the Supplementary District Electors’ Roll will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, 13th April. After that date no further additions can be made to the roll. Tin* ballot papers to he used at the elections will be exactly similar to the papers used for parliamentary elections, where the name of the candidate for whom the voter desires to vote is left, while the names of candidates for whom he does not desire to vote are to be struck out. The elections this year will consist of two representatives on the Foxton Harbour Board, one representative on the Horowhenua Power Board, possibly one for the Wellington Harbour Board, and the usual Mayor and Council elections. The rolls have been very carefully prepared and there are now 925 names on the Main Roll against 838 on both main and supplementary rolls two years ago. Up to the present little interest is being displayed in. the elections. The majority of the present Council have indicated their intention to offer their services for a further term.
