FOOTBALL.
FOXTON CLUB’S COMMITTEE MEETING. A committee meeting of the Foxton Club was held in Walls’ rooms last night presided over by Mr. 11. Hutchins (president). Also present: Messrs B. Walls, C. Rand, W. Neville, Cochrane and Currie. Correspondence was received from the Berhamporo Club, Wellington re match at Wellington on Easter Saturday.—Resolved to inform Berhamporo that the team would leave Fox ton on Good Friday and return on Easter Monday. Resolved that the club contribute £1 Os towards the train expenses. A letter,was received from Western United (Palmerston North) stating that it was hoped to arrange a fiendly match at a later date. Resolved to agree to a friendly game thirds v. Awahou thirds today. Matches were arranged as follows: —Shannon thirds v. club thirds on Easter Saturday at Foxton and Shannon Juniors v. club Juniors at Fox ton on April 9 th. The purchase of balls was left in the hands of the chairman. Donations were received and thankfully acknowledged _ from Messrs Frank Robinson and MeMullian (vice-president).
