CORRESPONDENCE
(To the Editor). Dear Sir, —Your leading article in Thursday’s issue comes at a most opportune time and strikes the right note. It is an article which should commend itself to every resident of this town and district, It can be very confidently stated that most wanted lines in every trade can be purchased right here in Foxton and frequently at. prices below those charged elsewhere. There is a very genuine desire on the part of Foxton tradespeople to supply dependable goods at the lowest prices and there is really no necessity for local people to spend their money in a larger town. There are numerous good reasons why every penny that can he spent in Foxton should be spent here, particularly this winter. It is up to every local shopkeeper to keep prices down to a minimum and back this up by preaching the doctrine of local patriotism. To quote your own good slogan “let Foxton prosper.” There is one sure way of making prosperity here and that is by loyalty. All roads lead to Foxton and a better spot for anything and everything is hard to find. Yours etc., GEO. F. SMITH.
