.... ... —« ARTILLERY BAND AT TOWN HALL. To-morrow, Friday evening, the public of Foxton are promised a musical treat at the Town Hall, where the Artillery Band, under Captain T. Herd, will render a programme in conjunction -with the feature picture “A trip to Chinatown.” Captain Herd, who had charge of the Wellington Garrison Band, when, for nine successive years it established an unbeaten record in Australasian competitions, has brought the Artillery combination to a pitch of perfection, and their rendering of “Musical Fragments," a pot pourri of 40 operatic and well-known melodies, and “The Prisoner’s Song" are treats iu music which should be highly appreciated locally. The picture screening on Friday “A trip to Chinatown," is an oxciting comedy of a young man who thought he only had a week to live, but found a new lease of life on his trip. Prices 1/- and 2/-. Children half price. Buster Keaton and Sally O’Neil, have the leading roles in “Battling Butler,” au exciting and • hilarious comedy which heads Saturday’s programme. Buster portrays the part of a rich young idler who falls in love and then has to pose as a prize lighter in order to win the giri, whose family believes him to be a weakling because of his line clothes, valet and luxurious surroundings. Prices as usual.
