SAFE-BREAKERS FURTHER CHARGED.
GUILTY OF DAY’S BAY BURGLARY. Wellington, Last Night. Three brothers, Albert Windsor, painter, aged 31; Joseph Windsor, aged 28; and Lawrence Windsor, labourer, aged 25, were charged to-day with having broken and entered the Day's Bay pavilion on January sth and having stolen! £72 in money, 5,000 cigarettes, a quantity of tobacco, cigars and chocolates, and the safe and cashbox, as well as other goods, of a total value of £ll9 9/-. Counsel for accused stated his clients intended to plead guilty. Detective McLennan said he interviewed the three accused at the gaol. They admitted that the three of them were responsible for\ the burglary, and that the goods discovered were the proceeds of it. All three accused, who are serving a sentence of twelve months’ imprisonment for escaping from custody at Palmerston North, when charged with safe-breaking, pleaded guilty and were committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
