FOOTBALL.
A committee meeting (if (lie Awal>nu Rugby Football club was held at the residence of Mr. Fred Robinson last night, presided over by Mr. Fred Robinson. There were also present: Messrs F. Shaw, If. ITota, \V. Andreson, T. Ellers, and S. Dudson. It was resolved to form a fourth grade team. Resolved to hold a shop day Ho assist the club funds. The question of -training quarters was left in the hands of the chairman and secretary and that till players get into practice as soon its possible. Rugby should he exciting locally tiiis season. The Awahoti Club is putting a senior team in the, held this year. The Foxton Club will also have -a senior and junior and lower grade teams in the field, and there is a possibility of 'a Wednesday club. Horace Reid intends to retire from -the game this year. Home was one of the nippiest, backs who spouted the Foxton colours, and his retirement will be regretted, by his old club mates.
Harry Hutchins, president of the Foxton Club, is as keen as ever to keep the yellow and black colours (lying, and it will not be his fault if honours (to not come to his Club this season. \
