Several properties in the deceased estate of George Coley will be offered for sale on Wednesday next. See advertisement.
“There is no necessity for the inclusion of Anzae Day in the holidays in the award; it ; is a Sunday, according to a. special Act of Parliament,” said Mr. W'. Cecil Prime, at the Christchurch Conciliation Council, which was 'considering the traction and stationary engine drivers’ dispute. Air. C. E. Otley added : “It is a sacred day, more than a Sunday. A man who works on it, no matter what he is paid, should get imprisonment on top of it.” The union’s assessors agreed to Anzae Day being struck out of the claim.
