PERSONAL.
Mr. J. H. Downes, Superintendent of the local Fire Brigade, left on Friday to attend the annual fire brigades’ conference which is being held at Gisborne. The Rev. S. H. D. Peryman, conducted the anniversary services at Belvedere, Wjairarapa, 1 and the evoninsr service at Carterton on Sunday. 1
