RAILWAY EXCURSION AND PICNIC.

The annual railway excursion and picnic in connection with the Foxton District High School, will take place on Friday next. A special train will leave Foxton at 7.45 a.m., arriving at Ashhurst at 9.10 a.ni. Leave Ashhurst at 5.25 p.m. arriving at Foxton 6.50. The fares will be as follows: School children 1/6, senior! scholars 2/3, adults 3/6. Tickets may be obtained from the, headmaster. The children will be catered for and adults will provide their own meals but will be supplied with hot water and milk. The holding of this annual picnic involves the committee in con siderable expense and any donations in cash or kind will be gratefully received by the secretary (Mr Ilangiheuea), and publicly acknow ledged. The Mayor invites the citizens to observe a public holiday on the day of the picnic.
