FIRE AT SHANNON.
BLOCK OF SHOPS DESTROYED.
A large block of three shops in Shannon was destroyed by lire early yesterday morning. One shop occupied by Aiteheson and Son (gro eers), another by G. C. Young (cycle shop), and the third was va' cant. The block was owned by MrH. Hook, and the building and stocks were a total loss. At one time there seemed a danger of the 'tire spreading, and the Levin bri gade were telephoned for, as there is no brigade in Shannon.
