The pronunciation of Maori, words of any length {(resents considerable trouble to the Pakeha tongue. Mr. Taylor, counsel for the Crown, when addressing the Native Lands Commission at Waitara last week, made several attempts to successfully grapple with “Ngati-Kahungungu.” At length he admitted defeat; ‘I cannot say it, your Honour; but it is the name of a tribe on the East Coast.”
