RURAL POSTAL DELIVERY
OR.OUA - DOWNS DISTRICT,
A public meeting of OrouaDowns settlers, presided over by Mr. Ferrgusson, was held in the Oroua-Dmvns Hall last night, to discuss a rural postal delivery for the district.
The meeting was addressed by Mr. Newton, Foxton postmaster, and members of the Foxton Chamber of Commerce. After a lengthy discussion it was decided to make application to the Department for a rural delivery to serve the district. The usual notes of thanks concluded the meeting.
