BOWLING.
VISIT TO OTAKI. Yesterday afternoon three rinks from Foxton visited Otaki, and spent a most enjoyable time In friendly games with members of the Otaki Bowling Club. The green ,
proved sbmewhat baffling to the visitors, the impression being that the draw was inconsistent, although keen enough. Two games of 1C heads were played, and resulted as follows: —
Otaki: Freeman, Witchell, Satherlcy, Wjyatt (s) 25 v. Ross, Rammer, Huntley, Woods («) 13. Otaki: Nicholson, Allan, Windley, Noble (s) 15 v. Newth, Walton, Whibley, Nye (s) 17. Otaki: McGill, O’Rourke, Aniyes, Smith (s) 24 v. Spring, Easton, Christie, Thomson (s) 8.
Otaki: McGill, Witchell, Smith, Amyes (s) 17 v. Ross, Riminer, Woods, Huntley (s) sl. Otaki: Baxter, Nicholson, Wlindley, Noble (s) 17 v. Newth, Walton, Whibley, Nye (s) 10. • Otaki: Freeman, Scott, Wyatt, Satherley (s) 27 v. Spring, Easton, Christie, Thomson (s) 13.
A tasty afternoon tea presided over by the .ladies was much appreciated. The outing proved thoroughly enjoyable, and renewed the good feeling that in past years has been built up by visits 'between the two clubs. Otaki will endeavour to return the visit before the close of the season.
