PLUNKET SOCIETY.
The monthly meeting of the Plunket Society was held in the Plunket Office on Monday afternoon. Those present- were Mesdames F. Robinson (President), 0. Pearson, D. R. Barron, D. Christie, J. Chrystall, F. Rimmer, H. Downes, F. Procter, A. Baker and R. McMurray, (Hon. Sep). Apulogiee were received from Mesdamcs Walton, R. Ross, W. Trueman and J. Coni.
The Nurses monthly report for December, showed visits to Foxlon, 5, to homes 12, adults to office 55, children 70, total 125. New cases 2. ,
For January 1927, visits to Foxton 4, -to homes 13, adults to ‘office 40, children to office 01, total 101; one. new ease.
The secretary reported that a donation of £2 from a “well wisher” had been received. Mrs F. Procter’s committee consisting of Mesdames Baker, A. Ross F. Rimmer, D. Christie and F. Robinson held a. successful shop day on Saturday last. The proceeds, £l7 15s Id, were handed in. Winners of competitions held in connection with this effort were as follows :— 1
Gents hose—N. Hendrickson; dinner —Mrs F. C. Hay; cake—-A. Barrett; salid dish—E. Hendrickson; braces and suspender set—W. , Currie; Hour—Mrs R. Parkes; cho-. colates —C. Health.
A vote of.thanks was accorded the committee for their good work, and also to the public| for the support given. l An account for 9/- was passed
for payment. The proceeds of Mr. I. Corn’s weighing machine were 18/9; Office box 4/-. , Mesdames McMurray and Christie were appointed visitors for the month and Mrs Christie flower steward.
