Cr. PARKIN’S THREAT.
TO BREAK THROUGH GATE.
Will on the discussion took place at last night's meeting of the Borough Council re allowing the Cycling Club the use of Easton Park for cycle racing, Cr. Parkin objected to the closing of the gate leading to the Park from Johnston Street. He said he had a section joining the Park, and he would continue to use the Park as a right-of-way, and would break through any locked gate.
Cr. Woods: Suppose the Park had not been handed over to the Council, would you have used it as n right-of-way? There are good footpaths leading from Johnston Street to Main Street.
Or. Parkin: If the gate is lock <•<l, [ will break it down.
