REPORT
The High Commissioner’s cablegram. dated 12th iust., reads:— Hemp Manila market quiet, but steady, sellers quote “J giade February-April shipments £45 IDs. Output January 9(500 bales, same as previous January. Stocks in manila on 31st January 102,000, against 130,000 bales same time last year, in Great Britain 4,122 against 27,000. Sisal market dull and no demand for No. 1. No. 2 February-April shipments offered £39 10s. New Zealand market, easy, no demand.
