AUCKLAND CLUB’S MEETING
TWO WORLD’S RECORDS BROKEN.
Auckland, February 13
Two world’s track records were broken at the Auckland Motor Cycle Racing Club's spurts at the Taka puna racecourse yesterday, la the Great Northern Handicap, twelve miles, P. Coleman did the distance in the record time of flmin. 2(1 2-5 sec., winning .by 25 yards From F. Curtis, with H. Y. McCrendv third.
B. Dray (Wliangarei) reduced the grass record 'for the mile for middle weight machines from 50sec. to 48scc. Bray won the Takapuna Handicap, seven miles, by three hundred yards from Me C ready with \Y Allen third. Bray also Avon the Alison Handicap, six miles, in smin. 3secs.
W. White won the Auckland Handicap, seven miles, in 6min. 38secs.
W. Herbert won the President’s Handicap, ten miles, in Bmin. 29 sec., with F. Curtis second, and M-cvGreadiy third. Coleman could not compete owing to a tire blowing out before the race.
R. Ranby Avon the Final Handicap, eight miles, in 7min. 1 2-ssec. W. Allen won the Sports Handicap, live miles, in 4min. 18sec. and Ratcliff won the Open Handicap, live miles, in: 4min. 29 2-ssec.
