The Government Meteorologist wired at noon to-day as follows: — The indications are, for variable and strong breezes, but easterly winds moderate-to strong prevailing. Expect warm and sultry weather, and weather cloudy to overeast. Heavy rain is to be expected. ' The barometer has a falling tendency. Seas considerable, tides poor.
