OBITUARY.
The death occurred at Taikorea, yesterday, of Mary Anna Gaze, at the age of 70 years. Deceased had been in ill-licalth for some time. At 2 p.m. yesterday she was at her residence at Taikorea when her husband went outside to attend to a horse. Upon returning shortly afterwards he found her lying on the floor inside the back door, life being then extinct. Deceased was the wife of Alfred William Gaze, of Taikorea, and was well known in (he district, having resided there with her husband for four years. Their former place of residence was in the South Island. The funeral will take place to-mor-row, leaving the residence at Taikorea for All Saints’ Church, Foxlon, at 1.30 p.m. (arriving here at about 2.15 p.m.) and thence to the Fox ton iC'emetarv.
