The Pahiatua meeting was brought to a conclusion on Thursday, when some excellent racing was witnessed by a large crowd in excellent weather. The tofcalisator handled £11,228, against £12,828 for the opening day, and £12,968 for the same day last year, making a total for the meeting of £24,056, against £26,241 for last year. Results:— Trial Plate: —Land Guard 3, Colarina 2, Heather Blend 3. AYon by half a head. Time 1.16 4-5. Pongaroa High Weight Handi-cap:—-Shut Eye 1, Misgovern 2, Arfaura 3. Won by a length. Time 1.29 2-5.
Tiraumea Hack Handicap:— Asleep 1, Fiery Comet 2, Our Jack 8. Won by a length. Time 1.43 2-5.
Mnngahao Handicap:—Wristlet 3, Willow Wai 2, Bonhomme 3. Won by half a head. Time 1.59. Tjirarun. Hack Handicap: — Riverna 1, Coot 2, Lady Tdeal 3. Won hv a head. Time 1.3 3-5. ' Tnne Hack Handicap:—Royal Game 3, Tannadice 2, Hypnotic 3. Won by a. length. Time 1.28 4-5. Electric Handicap:—Bright Knight 1, Papaponga 2, Starboard Light. 3. Won by a head. Time 1.14 4-5.
Farewell Hack Handicap:—Wilderness 1, The Tank 2, Red Glow 3. Won by two lengths. Time T. 30.
