Mn and Airs Husey, of Wanganui, who have been spending a holiday in Foxton, returned to Wanganui to-day.

The Rev. W. H. and Mrs. Walton their two sons and Miss Ritchie have returned from a motor tour in the North.

The death is reported of Mr. Robert Wellwood, aged 91, the first Mayor of Hastings, in 1886. The late Air. Wellwood was twice married, and leaves a widow and a grown-up family of five daughters and three sons and sixteen grandchildren.
