PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.
ARRIVAL OF NEW PASTOR
After being without the services of a settled minister for about six months, the vacancy in the local Presbyerian Church has been filled by Mr W. 11. Nicholas, who will conduct. his first services on Sunday next. Mr Nicholas, accompanied by his wife and son, arrived in Foxton last night from Ghakune and will lake up their residence at the manse to-day. Mr Nicholas, prior to joining the ministry, was a mining engineer. For some years lie laboured at Reef ton and Qhakune. In the last-named district he had to .superintend a wide area, which included fontoen preaching,.stations. At a later date Mr and Mrs Nicholas will be entertained at a welcome s'oeial by the congregation.
