CONFLAGRATION AT THE BEACH.
At about 10 o'clock on Sunday morning a four-roomed cottage, at the local seaside, together with its contents, were totally destroyed by fire. The cottage was owned by Mr H. Baker, of Palmerston N., who arrived there that morning to spend a few days. He lit a fire in the fireplace and left the house tor a short time and, on returning, saw the building in flames. The insurances are not yet available.
