CROQUET.

A general meeting of the Foxton Croquet Club was held at the green yesterday afternoon. Mrs R. Bryant (President) presided and also present were Mesdamcs Barr, Downes, Perreau, Ball, Moore, Owen and Miss Wanklyn. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Woods, Parkes, Pearson, AlcMurrny and Miss Spoil's. The Monday competitions were re-considered and it was decided that one game he played each Monday in alternate order, play to star! not later than 2.30 p.m. Nye Mallets to be for A. and B. doubles ami the Stewart Shields for open doubles. Both competitions to be played on official handicaps, all members being eligible to challenge.

It was decided to start these competitions on January 10th, the Nye Mulcts winning the draw for the play that day. The following are the scores for

Handicap Singles:—Mi's Moore (6i) defeated Mrs Bryant (84) 2G —10; Mrs Ball (74) defeated Mrs Ban' (74) 26< —18.
