A reminder is given of the public meeting to be held n the Methodist Church this evening, in connection with the Methodist. Church jubilee. Proceedings commence at 7.00 o’clock.
At last night’s Borough Council meeting the poundkeeper reported that during the month of November 19 head of stock was impounded and driving fees to the amount of 3/- collected.
The balance-sheets for the years 1925 and 1926 were received from the audit office and were adopted, the audit office and were adopted at last night’s Borough Council meeting. At last night’s meeting of the Foxton Borough Council a motion of sympathy was passed with the family of the late MV W. Signal, Councillors standing in silence for a few minutes. The dog tax for the coming year was fixed at 2/0 for all bona fide, sheep and cattle dogs and 10/- for all others at last night’s Borough Council meeting. The last day for payment without penalty was fixed for 31st January, 1927. Those present at last night’s Borough Council meeting were Ilis Worship the Mayor (Mr M. E. Perreau) and Crs. McMurray, Thompson, Lucinsky, Rand, Parkin, and Woods. Apologies for absence were received from Crs. Walker and T. W. Winstanley.
