FIRE AT THE SEASIDE.

SECOND WITHIN A FORTNIGHT © —: The second fire within a fortnight occurred at the Manawatu Heads early yesterday morning, when a three-roomed cottage next to Mr Perreau’s store was totally destroyed. There was no one living in the house at the time and the cause of the outbreak is a mystery. No particulars are available yet but it is understood that the house belonged to Mr L. D. Simmonds, of Palmerston N., and until recently belonged to Mr Clausen, of Palmerston N. Mr J. Wyeth, local nightwatehman, reported seeing the blaze at 2.10 a.m. yesterday.
