STANLEY McKAY’S NEW PANTOMIME AND OPERA COY.
Air. Walter George’s Sunshine players have been specially engaged hv Mr Stanley McKay for his present N.Z. tour, so playgoers can confidently expect something out of the ordinary in the musical line on Monday next, December 13th, at the new Town Hall, the production being “My Geisha Girl.” Air Walter George has made an enviable reputation with the Fuller management, his N.Z. seasons constituting a record for number and popularity of performances. The company now under his direction is a particularly strong one, including really funny comedians, pretty and clever girls, singers and dancers of extra-
ordinary talent, as well as specialities of a novel and special nature. Comedians who need no introduction are Frank Perryn, Arthur Meredith, and Australia’s funniest girl, Maiulic Stewart. Amongst the new artists are Madeline Knight, a mezzo soprano of marked ability, both as a singer and actress; Will Raynor, a soloist tenor with a remarkable range; Jack Raymond, handsome singer, and dancer; and the Four Little Kellys, the wonder child musicians. ROYAL PICTURES. A stirring hand-to-liand fight is staged 300 feet up in the air with the bottom of a jagged rock strewn chasm beneath waiting to claim the loser in “A Six Shootin’ Romance,” to he screened at the Royal Theatre to-night. Jack Iloxie is starred and he is supported by a capable cast, including Olive Qasbrouck, William A. Steele, Carmen Phillips, Bob McKenzie, Mattie Peters and Virginia Bradford. Centuary comedy “Movie Madness.” On Monday night “Tramp, Tramp Tramp” will be screened, starring the famed comedian, Harry Langdon, who was won over from the musical comedy stage by.a fabulous offer from First National Pastures. Come and see Langdon’s slide down n mountain side mid liis efforts to dodge the falling stones. Laughs and thrills galore.
ALASKAN DRAMA AT TOWN HALL. ( “The Cheehaeos” or “New Chum” the eight reel super feature at the Town Hall to-night has the distinction of being the only snow country drama ever produced in Alaska, under the supervision of Captain Austin Lathrop, Artie explorer, who opened up vast tracts of unknown Alaska. The picture tells in dramatic and at times thrilling manner a story of the adventures of one family who essayed the trip into the unknown in search of gold. The big fight scenes in the mining dance halls are a revelation in action scenes. The roles are essayed by an all star cast, with the support of a special comedf, “The Champeen” and the latest Patlie Gazette and Paris Fashions.
