CORRESPONDENCE.

(To The Editor).

Sir, —I claim to be a peace-loving citizen and as far as my means permit, contribute to any deserving local object. But, sir, I must take exception to the rude remarks # of certain individuals, who, in their attempt to sell chances for a prize not only demand, but make uncalled for persoanl remarks if a refusal is given. This sort of thing, sir, in my opinion, has been carried too far during the carnival swimming baths money raising affair. I would respectfully suggest that the' Borough Council, in future, issue permits only to people who know how to behave themselves when appealling for financial assistance. — Thanking you in anticipation, I am, etc. CITIZEN.
