PAY-OUT CLERK’S UNFORTUNATE MISTAKE. . Christchurch, Nov. 17. A pay-out clerk at Rieearton on Saturday paid £75 7s fid instead, of £ls 7s fid, on three £1 tickets, with the result that he will have to find £(!0 from his own pocket to make up the deficiency. The mistake occurred through his being transferred from the £1 to the £5 pay-out windows.
