PERSONAL.
Miss Ritchie, of Sydney, is on a visit to her aunt, Mrs W. H. Walton of the vicarage, Foxton. The death took place at Motuiti pah on Saturday of the three-year-old son of Mrs Beta. The cause of death was pneumonia]. The Rev. Paerala conducted the funeral ceremony yesterday afternoon. Dr. Frazer, medical superintendent of the Palmerston N. Hospital has been appointed medical superintendent of the Hawera Hospital. Dr Frazer will probably take up bis new duties at the beginning of next year.
