PLUNKET SOCIETY.
The monthly meeting of the ‘Foxton Plunkct Society was held in the office yesterday aftjevnoon, those present being Mesdames F. Robinson (president), C. A. Pearson, W. Trueman, A. Baker, D. Christie,* J. Chrystall, H. Downes, A. Ross, A. Stevenson, and R. McMurray (secretary). Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames J. Barr, W. 11. Walton and R. Moore. The nurses’ monthly report showed visits to Foxton 4, to homes 15, adults to office 50, children 01, new eases 4, letters written 7. Mrs F. Robinson who was absent from the previous meeting, when the amount of £l4 0/0 was handed in by Mrs C. A. Pearson’s group, expressed her appreciation of the good work done bv this group. Accounts totalling £25 0/7 were passed for payment. A donation of 5/- was received from the Croquet Club. Mrs Robinson was appointed llower steward and Mesdames Robinson and Downes visitors for the month. Mr I. Corn’s weighing machine yielded 9/OA and the room box 0/7.
