VICAR OUSTS CHARLESTON.
DRAMATIC INTERRUPTION AT DANCE. » London, November 0. While a dance was in progress at Durham it was dramatically interrupted by the Vicar, Rev. Chambers, who mounted the platform and demanded the discontinuance of the Charleston. He said: “The Charleston is banned by me. I will not tolerate it here. Its movements arc hideous and morally wrong and are lacking in grace and dignity.”
