TWO PERSONS KILLED IN MOTOR SMASH.

Chrisehureh, November 7. Two persons were killed in a motor smash at 0.30 on Saturday evening, Henry Denham was driving a five-seater motor* car in which were live adults and a three-year-old bov, along Yaldhurst Road towards'the city. The car swerved, smashed into a telegraph pole, and then swung across to the other side of the road, where it stopped. A man and a woman were killed instantly. The little boy suffered shock, and was admitted to hospital. Three others escaped injury. Difficulty was experienced in identifying the bodies this afternoon. The body of the man was identified as that, of David Forsyth, aged 50 years, single, of Belfast, who had apparently come into Christchurch for the carnival week. The body of the woman, whose age was about 30 years, was.not identified. It is believed she was married.
