The elephant rarely sleeps more than four or five hours a day, in spite of his capacity for hard work. The census of Northern Ireland shows that the population is 1,256,322, an indrease over 1911 of 5791. The word meander originates from the River Meander, in Asia Minor, which has a slow and tortuous course.
