Those present at last night’s Borough Council meeting were His Worship the Mayor (Mr M. E. Perreau) and Crs. McMurray, Thompson, Cowley, Lueinsky, Parkin, C. Rand, Walker and F. Woods. An apology for absence was received from Cr. Winstanley. At yesterday’s.meeting of the local Plimket Society a letter was received from Mrs Austin-Johnston, a member of the Society, at present on a world tour, conveying best wishes. The letter was written at Venice. Mrs Austin-Johnston and her daughter expect to arrive back in the Dominion next month.
