■ PROSPECT OF BUTTER FACTORY FOR FOXTON. At the monthly meeting of the Foxlon Chamber of Commerce, held last Thursday night, the President (Mr Horhblow) said that; the matter of the erection of a butter factory locally had been brought before his notice by a local farmer, who had given him some interesting information on the matter which, for the time being, would have to be kept confidential. After a discussion in committee, Messrs M. E. Pcrrcnu and F. Woods were appointed to make further infjuiries into the proposition. AD’ Woods mentioned that, as a member of the Manawatn Herd Testing Association, he had official figures at his disposal, which showed that within K radius of Foxton, there were 4,000 cows.
