PERSONAL.
Miss C. B. Mills, at present principal of the Palmerston North Girls’ High School, has been appointed to succeed Miss Lorimer (resigned on superannuation) as principal of the Nelson Girls’ College.
Mr H. 11. Hunt, chairman of the Manawatu County Council, has been forced to resign owing to ill-health. He succeeded Sir James Wilson last May. He lias been a member of the council since October, 1910, and has always taken an; active interest in county affairs. His resignation, which is much regretted, will 1)0 dealt with at the next meeting of the County Council;
The following visiting clergy were present at last night’s jubilee service at All Saints’ Church: Archdeacon Innos-Jones, Canon Petrie (Feilding), Rev. J. C. Abbott (Terrace End)., Rev. W. E. Tremayne, Rev. 11. F. Wilson, (Paraparaumu), Rev. J. C. Davies (Levin), and the Rev. W. Adams (Feilding). Apologies and felicitations were received from three former vicars, viz., Revs. Young (Christchurch), 11. Y. Woodward (Knrori) and Rev. W. Raine (Carterton).
