The usual weekly Druids euchre tournament will he held in the temporary Town Hall to-night. Good prizes and supper. Elsewhere in this issue, Mr G. J. Oliver notifies the public by advertisement Hint tie has purchased the Foxton branch of the L. R. and F. Meat Co. as from October 27th., and by selling only the primes! moat and small goods, hopes to merit the support of the local and district public. In to-day’s issue the Railway Department. advertise particulars of the alterations to the train service and the issue of special cheap excursion tickets in connection with the Manawatu and West Coast A. and P. Show,- to lie held at Palmerston North on 2nd, 3rd and 4th November. The fares are at a very cheap rate and on the 3rd and 4th November the afternoon train to Foxton will run on a late schedule. These facilities should entice people to travel, by rail to the show.
