WOMAN’S BODY FOUND

FLOATING IN HARBOUR

Auckland, October 25.

The body of an elderly woman was found floating in Manukau Harbour this morning, about five miles from Onehunga, by an old man and his wife, who were out in a fiatbottomed boat.

They secured the body by means, of a fishing line and informed the police. When the police arrived upon the scene if was the full tide and the body could not be seen. It is thought that the fishing line was not long enough to allow the body to float upon the surface.

Further search will be made at low tide this evening. A woman’s coat, hat and bag were found this morning on the Alnngcre Bridge.
