SWIMMING BATHS CARNIVAL
The Fibre Committee’s weekly euchre party will be held in Hamer’s sample rooms this evening. The Sports Committee’s weekly euchre tournament will lie held in Grady’s rooms to-morrow evening. A dance was held in the Masonic Hall on Saturday night for the Sports Queen candidate. A good number were present, and an enjoyable time was spent. A shop bay was held on Saturday for the Sports Queen candidate and thanks are due to those who so generously helped lo make it a financial success. Competitions were drawn as follows: —dinner, Mrs Baird; chocolates, Miss Vertongcn; shirt Mr McKenna; coat, Frank Cowley; boudoir cap, Miss I. Patterson; handkerchiefs, Miss N. Spring; sheep (number) Mr F. Robinson; do. (weight) Messrs Oliver and Reay. A euchre party was held on Monday night for flic Citizens’ Queen candidate. First prizes were won by Miss Brown and Mr Spring; seconds by Mr Gupwell and Mrs Pearson. f
