CROQUET.

Yesterday afternoon members of the local club commenced play in the season’s competitions. In accordance with the decision ot the annual general meeting, breaks and cut off shots will be played on Wednesday afternoons for four weeks, after which the thirty minutes tournament will be carried on for four weeks, these two competitions to be alternated for.like periods throughout the season.

The following are the results of yesterday’s play: —

The Levin Croquet Club will open their courts for play on Wednesday next, 20th inst., at 2 p.m. An invitation has been extended to local playerst to be present.
