SWIMMING BATHS CARNIVAL.

The Fibre Committee will hold a Children’s Tea Party in Hamer’s sample room this evening. Tea at 5.30 p.m. Games and competitions. Children 6d, adults Is.

A picture entertainment will be held in the Royal Theatre to-mor-row evening for the Fibre Queen. The star item will be “Lady of the Night.”

A dancing class will be held in the Anglican schoolroom to-mor-row evening, at 8 o’clock, under the auspices of the Fibre Committee. The Sports Committee will hold a shop day on Saturday. A euchre party was held on Tuesday night for the Fibre Queen .candidate, a large number being present. First prizes were won by Mrs McKnighf and Mr R. Ball, and second prizes by Mrs Chaffey and Mr Allerby, respectively. A euchre party was held in Grady’s room last evening for the Sports Queen candidate, a large number attending. Prizes were won by Mrs Beard and Mr Carpenter (firsts) and Mrs Woodham and Mr Sutton (seconds). Positions of Queens: — Fibre, Sports. Citizens.
