GIRL GUIDES.

A meeting of the local Association of the Girl Guides was held yesterday. Miss F. Robinson was elected to fill the vacancy on the committee.

It was regretted that a local delegate was unable to attend the conference to be held in Wellington next Tuesday.

A novel and pleasant way of raising money to meet expenses was discussed and as a result a series of “vanishing teas” are to be started next week.

Miss Kebbell, District Commissioner, is to be in Foxton to-day to complete the inspection of Girl Guides and Brownies, and in a short time it is hoped to have the Brownies in uniform.
