SWIMMING BATHS CARNIVAL.
The usual weekly euchre party conducted by the Fibre Committee, in Hamer’s rooms, will be held this evening.
The Sports Committee weekly euchre tournament will be held in Grady’s rooms to-morrow evening.
A shop day was held on Saturday for the Sports Queen candidate, and thanks are due to all those who helped to make it a financial success, by sending in goods, etc. Competitions were drawn, the following being the winners:—Sheep, (half), Mr H. Dawson; do., 37ilbs, Mr Riekerby; dinner, Mrs Carmont; tea, Mrs Barron; shirt, Mr McMutree; table centre and serviette rings: Miss G. McEwen; bag of potatoes, Mr Jackson; five bags cones Mrs J. Walls; ladies’ slippers: Mrs I. Corn; cushion, Miss H. Skellen; stockings and garters: Mrs Straw; scented soap, Miss K. Desmond. The winners of the cake competition were: First, Mrs Melton; second: Mrs Wright ; Master Powell, Highly Commended.
4 dance was held in the Masonic Hall on Saturday night for the Sports Queen candidate. An enjoyable time was spent. The fox trot competition was won by Mr R. Shaw and Miss Arnold. A euchre party was held in Mr Grady’s rooms on Monday night for the Citizens* Queen candidate. First prizes for lady and gent were won by Mrs Perrcau and Mi 1 Williams, second by Mrs Griffin and Mr Evans.
