BASKET BALL.

FOXTON D.H.S. V. SHANNON SCHOOL.

Two teams of girls from the Shannon school visited Foxton yesterday and tried conclusions with teams from the local D.H.S. The visitors were in charge of Miss Sinclair. The games were played on the school courts. The Shannon A team defeated Foxton by 39 to nil and the Shannon B. team were dodeated by 8f to 10. After the games the visitors were entertained to afternoon tea. The captain of the Shannon A. team, on behalf of the visitors, thanked Foxlon girls for their hospitality, and called for cheers for Foxton and the referee (Miss James, Levin D.H.S.). Mr F. Mason, headmaster in responding, said the school was pleased to receive a visit from the Shannon basket ball girls. He hoped during the summer, to have a visit from the tennis teams from Shannon.

Cheers for Shannon concluded a very enjoyable meeting. The local Secondary girls played Levin yesterday at Levin. Levin won by 36 points to 2.
