OPENING GAME OF THE
SEASON
The first game of the season was played on Victoria Park yesterday afternoon between two “scratch” teams representing local employers and employees.
On Saturday a match has been arranged between the local club and a team representing the flaxmill employees. The teams are as follows: Flaxihills: —W. Howe, 11. Taylor, G. Westwood, T. Morgan, H. Ross, W. Nye, B. Barnett, L. Mohekey, E. Robinson, N. Westwood, C. Anderson, R. Reader. Reserves: J. Gupwell, R. Pahi. Foxton:—K. Ilirini, B: Taylor, R. Reay, B. Hinds, I. and S. Wright, W. and 11. Newth, G. Knott, J. Madden, L. Anderson. Reserves: B. Ball and B. Chrystall.
