SWIMMING .BATHS CARNIVAL

Position of flags: —Fibre, Citizefis, Sports. A Five Hundred evening will be held in Perreau’s rooms to-morrow (Friday) evening.

The Sports will hold a shop day on Saturday. In connection with this, a sponge cake competition will be held, for which good prizes are offered.

The Duffers’ Concert and Waxworks, to have been staged by the Sports Committee on Saturday evening, has been reluctantly postponed, and in its stead) a dance will be held. A fox trot competition will be conducted.

A euchre party was held on Tuesday night for the Libre Qupen candidate, there being a large attendance. First prize for lady and gent, were won by Mrs McCarthy and Mr Holland; second prizes by Mrs Coley and Mr Ritchie. A euchre party was held in Perreau’s on Wednesday for the Sports Queen candidate, a good number being present. First prize fox lady was won by All’s Bryant, and fox gent, by Air Williams; second prizes by AHs Pearson and Air I. Wright, respectively.
