CADET TRAINING.
Fifty Senior Cadets of 4!) Company, Foxton, completed their annual week’s training on the racecourse at noon to-day. The weather was not all that could be desired during the week, but nevertheless good work' was done.. All work was carried out in the form of competitions, and No. F Section came out on top with 221 points. A tabloid athletic meeting was held this morning and the training concluded with a short football competition.
The shooting was very good, taking in consideration the adverse weather conditions that prevailed. Thursday, the day of the shoot, was bitterly cold. The following cadets obtained their Marksmen’s Badges by obtaining a score of 85 points or over out of a possible of 120: — E. Ball, 80, C. Huff) 90, V. Moore 113, M. Moffat t 90, G. Aldridge 99, W,. Ilussev 87, L. A. King 90, L. Moffat tf 92, W. Roach 80, E. Wanklyn 91, E. 1L Coley 94, ,T. B. Chrystall 107.
A. Marksman Badge is not easily obtained as 50 per cent, of the shooting is rapid or snap shooting.
